9mm Luger +P 147 Grain Hard Cast Lead Flat Nose Ammunition
9mm Luger +P 147 Grain ammunition with the highest quality components available to maximize the performance of the ammunition. This 9mm load is rated @ +P pressures (not +P+) and as such is safe to use in any/all 9mm chambered pistols that are in normal operating condition. The hard cast bullet (not lead, but hard cast) will not lead foul a functional barrel that is in a normal state of operation, including polygonal barrels, in any make of pistol, including Glock pistols. This load is designed to penetrate deep (4 to 6 feet) in a straight line, through flesh and bones and that flat nose does considerably more terminal damage, as it crushes its way through tissues, than a round nose bullet does as it slips and slides its way through tissues and that crushing action, keeps the bullet nose forward and ensures very deep straight-line penetration.
- The answer is yes! The 9mm and 9mm Luger are absolutely one and the same cartridge. The 9mm is also known as 9×19, which itself is short for 9x19mm Parabellum
- The full metal jacket flat nose (or FMJ-FN) is just as the name implies – a full metal jacketed bullet with a flat nose. This type of ammunition is popular among pistol shooters and is often sold on-site at shooting ranges, both indoor and outdoor.
- There are really just two common types of ammunition readily available in the 9mm: full metal jacket ball, and jacketed hollow points. Yes, there are other types but they are not mainstream. 115gr. FMJ is the most common ball ammo in production.
